Srinagar, Sep 14 (KNO): The Kashmir Cup Season-2, organized by Dalgate Sports Club, came to a thrilling conclusion at the TRC Ground, with Dadoo Rangers emerging as the champions. Seven franchise teams from across Kashmir participated in the tournament, which was modelled on the Indian Premier League (IPL) format. The event was supported by JKSports Time as the official media partner. Dignitaries present at the closing ceremony included Parvaiz Qaiser, Ex-Ranji Player- Emraan Bhat Organiser-Shah Javaid Organiser - Syed Ajaz Kashani- Dr. Touseef Ahmed, Patron and Mentor, Dalgate Sports Club and - Members of Dalgate Sports Club. As per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Dr. Touseef Ahmed, Patron and Mentor of the Club, emphasized the importance of promoting sports to curb the growing drug menace in society. “Through initiatives like the Kashmir Cup, we aim to provide a platform for youth to channel their energy into positive and healthy pursuits,” he said. The tournament showcased exceptional talent, sportsmanship, and teamwork, reflecting the club's commitment to fostering a vibrant sports culture in Kashmir. 7 teams participated in the tournament while 22 matches and 15 days of thrilling cricket action was witnessed with over 100 talented cricketers from across Kashmir participating in the tournament. Dadoo Rangers however, won the championship, defeating Valley Fresh in the final. "Sports have the power to transform lives and communities.
